We’re kicking off our monthly Third Saturday Volunteer Day at Dominion Hills Park on January 17th (9:00 am to 3:00 pm), and we’re excited to share the work plan and details with you.
Our primary focus this month will be sifting, distributing, and spreading wood chips from the three large piles created during our recent tree canopy trimming project.
Extra hands will make a big difference, so we’d love to have a strong turnout.
We will provide rakes, scoop and regular shovels, tarps, wheelbarrows, and brooms. However, we especially welcome volunteers who can bring their own tools—particularly steel bow rakes and square/scoop shovels.
If you live close to the park, we’re also hoping to borrow a few County green carts to help haul chips to specific locations.
If you have questions or would like to let us know you’re coming, please reach out to James Scampavia (james@scampavia.com) so that we can support our volunteers.
